The serving bowl is vented allowing the coldness of the ice to cool the bowl contents. The included salad servers hook onto the edge of the bowl. The appetizer insert separates the bowl into four sections so pasta, potato, fruit, and macaroni salad can all be chilled and served from the same bowl. The appetizer insert also features a serving cup in the center for dips or sauces. The Cold Bowl on Ice can also be used without ice for chips or popcorn.
